Damp conditions were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coast.
The following day was forecast to be the wettest day, with ongoing thunderstorm potential anticipated across multiple regions of both states.

Health officials alerted that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
